Abstract:
The present invention relates to a speaker enclosure (1) comprising a housing (2) in which at least one speaker (3) is mounted, the housing (2) comprising, for each speaker (3), an opening (2a) closed by the front portion of the associated speaker (3) and a vent (4) that leads to the outside, the speaker enclosure (1) further comprising, for each speaker (3), a sound transmission device (5) extending between an inlet end (5a) configured to receive the sound waves emitted from the back of the associated speaker (3) and an outlet end (5b) that leads to the associated vent (4), each sound transmission device (5) having a characteristic length and a constant characteristic cross-section dimensioned such that the acoustic resistance of the sound transmission device (5) is identical to the acoustic resistance of the associated speaker (3).
