Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem that, since a delay occurs between a time at which wheel slip or sliding actually occurs and a time at which the wheel slip or sliding is detected by a processing device, a portion of a sudden change in wheel rotational speed immediately after the wheel slip or the sliding has occurred is incorporated as data for speed calculation, thereby increasing a speed error, and accordingly the speed detecting device of the present invention comprises a wheel rotational speed detector for detecting a rotational speed of a wheel of a carriage, an acceleration sensor for detecting an acceleration of the carriage, and a speed calculating unit for calculating a speed of the carriage, wherein: the speed calculating unit includes a detector for detecting wheel slip or sliding of the wheel; when wheel slip or sliding of the wheel is not detected by the detector, a speed of the wheel calculated on the basis of the rotational speed of the wheel is output as the speed of the carriage, and a difference between the acceleration of the carriage and an acceleration of the wheel calculated from an amount of change over time in the speed of the wheel is calculated as an offset value; and when wheel slip or sliding of the wheel is detected by the detector, the acceleration of the carriage is corrected by means of the offset value, and the speed of the carriage calculated by integrating the corrected acceleration of the carriage is output.
