Abstract:
The disclosed sphygmomanometer has a nocturnal blood pressure measurement mode for automatically initiating blood pressure measurements according to a pre-set schedule, and is equipped with: an operation switch for inputting an instruction to interrupt the nocturnal blood pressure measurement mode or to resume the nocturnal blood pressure measurement mode; a relay processing unit which, when the operation switch is operated one time while in the nocturnal blood pressure measurement mode, executes processing for transitioning to a state of measurement interruption in which blood pressure measurement is not started even upon reaching a time set in the schedule; and a resumption processing unit which executes processing for resuming the nocturnal blood pressure measurement mode after a pre-set interval of time has elapsed from the time when the operation switch was operated the one time or when the operation switch is operated again while in the state of measurement interruption.
