Abstract:
The present invention is provided with a diaphragm (62) that either serves as part of a tube wall of an air tubing (37d) coupled to a cuff so as to allow for fluid communication, or is linked to the tube wall. The diaphragm is arranged so as to receive, at one surface (62a), the pressure of the air inside the air tubing (37d). The diaphragm (62), during a cuff pressurization step or depressurization step, blocks the pressure of the air inside the air tubing (37d) but allows a sound, which is within the frequency band of Korotkoff sounds and from among sounds that spread through the air in the air tubing (37d) from a measurement site, to be transmitted through the diaphragm (62). With respect to the diaphragm (62), a chamber (Cm) is provided on the side of the other surface (62b) opposite the one surface (62a), and the chamber is arranged so as to include the diaphragm (62) as part of a peripheral wall. A sound detection device disposed facing the air inside the chamber (Cm) is provided to a portion of the peripheral wall of the chamber (Cm) other than the diaphragm (62).
