Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a spindle unit center runout detection apparatus which is capable of detecting center runout of a spindle unit in a period after the initiation of operation and before the initiation of machining. Provided is a spindle unit center runout detection apparatus (1) connected to a servomotor drive device (7) of a working machine in which a tool has an attachable/detachable spindle unit, and which processes a workpiece by mounting the tool onto the spindle unit and by having a spindle motor (2) drive the tool. The spindle unit center runout detection apparatus is characterized by being provided with a spindle unit center runout assessment unit (9) that assesses center runout of the spindle unit, during the loading and unloading of the tool, on the basis of a detection result of a servomotor detector (6) which allows the spindle unit to move in a linear movement direction.
