Abstract:
This sponge titanium sheet material, which can adequately contact another member, and through which a liquid or gas can satisfactorily flow and diffuse, comprises a titanium or titanium alloy sintered compact, and forms a three-dimensional network structure having through holes which are open in the surface thereof and which are communicated with internal pores, the porosity thereof being in the range of 70-95%, and the average pore diameter being in the range of 50-600 µm, and the sponge titanium sheet material has a flatness F= w/t calculated from the average thickness t and the curvature amount w.
