The present invention achieves fine gripping performance with respect to a ground contact surface. This sports shoe (1) is provided with an out sole (10) that makes contact with a ground contact surface (G). The out sole is provided with a plurality of protrusions (20) that protrude downward from an under surface thereof and that are arranged side by side in the foot breadth direction and the front-back direction, which intersect with each other. Each of the protrusions comprises: a center part forming section (21); a pair of first outer-side forming sections (23) that protrude toward both sides in the foot breadth direction from the center forming section (21); and a pair of second outer-side forming sections (24) that protrude toward both sides in the front-back direction from the center forming section (21). Each of the first outer-side forming sections is located adjacent to, in the front-back direction, a first outer-side forming section of another protrusion disposed adjacent thereto in the foot breadth direction. Each of the second outer-side forming sections is located adjacent to, in the foot breadth direction, a second outer-side forming section of another protrusion disposed adjacent thereto in the front-back direction.
