Title:
SPOT SUN VISOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2009/150505
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A spot sun visor which, without obstructing a front view, effectively controls only a direct sunlight by moving an object in the direction of the sun to cause the object to be at a standstill at a position facing the sun, and the above object has an area slightly larger than that of a sun surface which comes into a cockpit.  The object is connected to at least one arm for supporting and moving the object, and a shaft of the arm is mounted to a slide device of a unit case.  The arm can be drawn forward by sliding a base point of the shaft, and the sun visor can be controlled by a damping device mounted to the shaft of the arm.  When not in use, the sun visor is stowed in the unit case and held in the cockpit. Alternatively, the spot sun visor is constructed from a motor drive system for operating a motor-driven device with an electric signal from an operator’s seat, and from a bearing sensor mounted in the cockpit and detecting the position of the sun in the cockpit.  The motor drive system and the bearing sensor are connected to an electronic device.  Information is converted into an electric signal for automatic control.
