Abstract:
This spot welding method comprises: a overlaying step for laying an expanded aluminum member and a cast aluminum member on each other; a disposing step for inserting the overlaid expanded aluminum member and cast aluminum member between a first electrode and a second electrode such that the first electrode is disposed on the expanded aluminum member side and the second electrode is disposed on the cast aluminum member side; and an current applying step for applying a current while the expanded aluminum member and the cast aluminum member are sandwiched between and pressed by the first electrode and the second electrode. In the current applying step, the area of contact between the second electrode and the cast aluminum member is set to be greater than that between the first electrode and the expanded aluminum member, or the electrode force is set to be 7.0-10 kN inclusive.
