Abstract:
A spray-type sterilizer apparatus and a sterilizing method for keeping a high sanitary level of products, minimizing dead space and simplifying the peripheral structure. Stacks of trays (2) placed horizontally are contained in a rotary container (3) rotatably supported in a sterilizer tank (1) (Fig.7(a)). After a medium supplying opening (42a) is tightly joined to an inlet opening (25), hot water is supplied to the inlet opening (25) and sprayed through a spray nozzle (23) to heat-sterilize products on the trays (2). Then, cool water is sprayed from the spray nozzle (23) to cool the products before the rotary container (3) is turned until an inclination angle of the trays exceeds 90�. The rotary container (3) is then reversely turned to be restored to the vertical position (Fig. 7(b)). After that, a hot air supplying opening (37a) is tightly joined to the inlet opening (25) above, the hot air is supplied to dry the products.
