Abstract:

A copper-aluminum composite material which comprises copper or a first copper alloy (for example, a Cu-Pb alloy) comprising at least one phase having not experienced melting and aluminum or an aluminum alloy (for example, a Al-Si alloy) comprising at least one phase having experienced melting is produced by using thermal spraying. The composite material exhibits properties of a copper alloy and an aluminum alloy, and is excellent in the resistance to wear and seizure.
