Abstract:
The invention relates to a sprinkler with an ejection device for separately emitting a jet of liquid in the form of thin or large drops from a low-pressure liquid line. The aim of the invention is to provide a sprinkler of the above-mentioned variety, capable of successively producing a spray mist consisting of fine droplets and spray jets consisting of large drops according to the nature of the fire that breaks out and the course that said fire takes, while at the same time maintaining approximately the same operating pressure with respect to the fire extinguishing agent and minimizing water consumption, reducing the amount of damage caused by water in the event of a blaze and increasing the cost effectiveness of the fire-fighting system. To achieve this, the sealing body comprises at least one two-step locking mechanism, wherein the individual steps thereof are associated with monitoring sensors for monitoring the areas in question and trigger elements, resulting in separate and common ejection of the locking mechanism during said individual steps.
