Abstract:
The present invention relates to a spun yarn which contains more than 50% by mass of polypropylene-based fibers each having a moisture content of less than 0.15% by mass, in which the number of fluffs each having a length of 3 mm or more is 40 fluffs/10 m or less, the porosity is 40 to 65% and the twist coefficient is 2.4 to 6.0 or, alternatively, the number of fluffs each having a length of 3 mm or more is 40 fluffs/10 m or less and the twist angle is 23° or more. The present invention also relates to a spun yarn which contains 5% by mass or more of polypropylene-based fibers each having a moisture content of 0.15% by mass or more as measured in accordance with JIS L 1015(2010), in which the number of fluffs each having a length of 3 mm or more is 40 fluffs/10 m or less, the porosity is 40 to 65% and the twist coefficient is 2.4 to 6.0 or, alternatively, the number of fluffs each having a length of 3 mm or more is 40 fluffs/10 m or less and the twist angle is 23° or more. It becomes possible to provide: a spun yarn which contains polypropylene-based fibers and can improve the antipilling properties of a cloth; a method for producing the spun yarn; and a cloth containing the spun yarn.
