Abstract:
A sputum container for a tracheostomy patient according to an embodiment of the present invention is a sputum container applied to a tracheostomy patient and comprises: a sputum receiving part for receiving patient's sputum; and a tracheostomy tube coupling part provided on one upper side of the sputum receiving part and coupled to a tracheostomy tube in the first direction, which is a tracheal incision site of a patient, to receive patient's sputum and deliver same to the sputum receiving part. Therefore, a tracheostomy patient can breathe comfortably while the container for receiving sputum discharged from the patient with the tracheostomy tube (airway intubation tube) being inserted is provided to the patient, and regardless of the posture taken by the tracheostomy patient wearing the container containing sputum, that is, even if a situation, such as lying down, turning, sitting, or lowering the head, arises, sputum can be prevented from pouring out or backflowing from the container containing the sputum. In addition, situations that would conventionally occur, such as sputum unconsciously discharged (usually strongly gushed out like a cough) from the lung, organs, or airways and hitting the face of a medical professional (doctor or nurse), can be prevented. Furthermore, a situation in which sputum is splashed onto a medical professional working in an intensive care unit where a tracheostomy patient is admitted or onto other patients receiving treatment in the same intensive care unit, or even onto a hospital room environment including curtains, ceilings, furniture, and the like is prevented, thereby resolving secondary infection or contamination problems in the hospital room and difficulties and grievances in the treatment environment.
