Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention provides a sputum suction alarm apparatus for a patient with a tracheotomy tube and a method thereof, the apparatus monitoring and analyzing in real time the respiratory sounds of a patient with a tracheotomy tube, identifying a build-up of sputum, and generating a sputum suction alarm.
