The present invention improves the serviceability of squeegees, squeegee devices and screen printing devices. A squeegee (90), the transverse section of which is rectangular, is held by a squeegee-holding device (92) in such a manner that the four edges (120) thereof can be selectively positioned at a contact position in which the edge contacts the mask. The squeegee is used for printing solder. Four two-dimensional codes (130) that respectively specify the squeegee (90) and the four edges (120) are provided, two each on the two mutually opposite surfaces of the squeegee (90), so that the two-dimensional code (130) that represents the edge (120) in contact with the mask is located in a previously established position. When the squeegee (90) is held by the squeegee-holding device (92), said two-dimensional code (130) is located in a notch (170) and is readable and the two-dimensional codes (130) of the edges not positioned in the contact position are covered by the squeegee-supporting member (162) and are not visible. The worker is able to read without error and obtain information from the two-dimensional code (130) that represents the edge (120) that is positioned in the contact position.
