[Problem] To provide a stacking and conveying machine that stacks and conveys planar bodies, or more specifically, to provide a stacking and conveying machine that stacks planar bodies by sandwiching the planar bodies between movers which are driven by electromagnetic interaction, and conveys the stacked planar bodies in such a manner that the stacked planer bodies do not collapse even in the unbound state. [Solution] This stacking and conveying machine is equipped with a plurality of movers that are driven by electromagnetic interaction and a stacking means. The movers each have a front support piece that supports the front side of the planar bodies and a rear support piece that supports the rear side of the planar bodies, and the stacking means comprising a receiving means and a holding means and a holding release means are included. The receiving means causes the planar bodies to be received between the front support piece and the rear support piece that are waiting for the reception of the planar bodies. The holding means prevents the received planar bodies from falling, allowing same to form a stack. The holding release means releases the holding of the stack such that the stack is discharged, so that the stack is conveyed.
