Abstract:
This stainless steel for a fuel cell separator has a predetermined composition, and has, on the surface thereof, a recess-and-protrusion structure in which a mean interval between protruding parts is 20-200 nm, wherein, on the surface of the stainless steel, [Cr]/[Fe], which is the ratio of the concentration of Cr atoms present in a non-metallic form to the concentration of Fe atoms present in a non-metallic form is 2.0 or more.
