Abstract:
Disclosed in the specification is a stainless steel having excellent surface electrical conductivity for a fuel cell separator. A stainless steel having excellent surface electrical conductivity for a fuel cell separator disclosed according to an embodiment may have the following surface oxide element ratio (1) value of 0.08 or more as measured for the surface of the stainless steel containing 15 weight% of Cr or more by X-ray angular-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy using an Al-Kα X-ray source under the condition of photoelectron take-off angle of 12°C-85°C. (I) The Cr hydroxide refers to CrOOH, Cr(OH)2, or Cr(OH)3. The total oxides and hydroxides include a Cr oxide, the Cr hydroxide, a Fe oxide, a Fe hydroxide, and a metal oxide (MO); the metal oxide (MO) includes a mixed oxide; M refers to an alloying element in a base material excluding Cr and Fe, or a combination thereof; and O refers to oxygen.
