Abstract:
This stair-ascending/-descending device (100, 200) is provided with a main body section (10) to which a vehicle wheel section (20) and a crawler section (40) are attached, a luggage rack (60) which can be displaced relative to the main body section (10) and on which luggage is carried, and a displacement mechanism (70, 170) for displacing the position of the luggage rack (60) relative to the main body section (10) to different positions during movement over level ground and during stair ascent/descent. The crawler section (40) has an area that contacts the stairs when the device is ascending/descending stairs, and the displacement mechanism (70, 170) displaces the luggage rack (60) relative to the main body section (10) when the device is ascending/descending the stairs, so that the center of gravity (G) of the luggage (L) is positioned vertically above said area.
