Abstract:
A stampede preventing method for a pedestrian passage (3) in a confined space of a subway. Pedestrian flow sensors are arranged on the pedestrian passage (3), and are connected to a control console by means of data transmission lines; the control console is connected to stampede preventing devices (2) by means of data transmission lines; the tops of the stampede preventing devices (2) are connected to movable walls (1) and handrails. During operation, the pedestrian flow sensors transmit the number of pedestrians and crowdedness that are monitored in real time in the pedestrian passage (3) to the control console by means of the data transmission lines; the control console analyzes signals from the pedestrian flow sensors according to a system program, and determines whether a crescent buffer space area (4) needs to be opened in the pedestrian passage (3); the control console issues different extension commands according to different crowdedness degrees; after receiving the commands from the control console, the stampede preventing devices (2) control the movable walls (1) and the handrails to start contracting, so that two originally parallel walls are recessed toward both sides to form the crescent buffer space area (4). Therefore, the maximum bearable pedestrian flow of the passage is instantaneously increased and stampede accidents are prevented.
