A steam station type electric iron comprises a water tank assembly (10), a boiler assembly (5), and an electromagnetic water pump (9) for sucking water from the water tank assembly (10) to the boiler assembly (5). The boiler assembly (5) is communicated with a soleplate assembly (1) of the electric iron (2) by an electromagnetic valve assembly (4) and a steam duct (3). The steam station type electric iron is characterized in that a sensing apparatus (6) for measuring the water level in the boiler assembly (5) is provided in the latter. A signal output port of the sensing apparatus (6) is connected with a controlling board (8) by a wire and furthermore the coil of the electromagnetic water pump (9) is connected with the controlling board (8) by a wire. The steam is ensured to be more stable, and a temporary steam lacking phenomenon which appears after adding water to the boiler of other steam station type electric irons is avoided, and no-load operation of the boiler is avoided. The steam station type electric iron is reasonably designed, convenient and practical.
