Abstract:
The present invention is provided with an inner wheel (20) that rotates together with a steering wheel (1); an outer wheel (21) that is provided in a fixed manner; an engaging element retainer (25) that is movably supported between an engaged position, in which the engaging element (24) is engaged between the inner wheel (20) and the outer wheel (21), and a disengaged position, in which the engaging element (24) is disengaged; an electromagnet (27) that attracts an armature (26) when energized; and an operation conversion mechanism (28) that moves the engaging element retainer (25) in accordance with movement of the armature (26).
