Abstract:
This steering apparatus is configured such that a first electric motor (7) and a second electric motor (13) rotate a steering shaft (2) via a speed reduction mechanism, and the first electric motor (7) and the second electric motor (13) are positioned to face each other. More specifically, the first electric motor (7), a first motor pulley (8), a second motor pulley (14), and the second electric motor (13) are arranged in this order in the direction of the rotation axis (Q). Thus, when a first system electric actuator composed of a first nut (4) and the first electric motor (7), and a second system electric actuator composed of a second nut (10) and the second electric motor (13) are provided to the common steering shaft (2), the first nut (4) and the second nut (10) can be arranged close to each other, thereby allowing a reduction in the sizes of the peripheries of the first nut 4 and the second nut (10).
