Abstract:
This steering dust seal for sealing a gap between a shaft hole of a column hole provided to a dashboard and a steering shaft comprises: an annular mounting portion mounted to the inner peripheral surface of the shaft hole; an annular bumper that faces the steering shaft in a non-contact state; a bellows coupling the mounting portion and the bumper to each other; and a seal lip extending from the bumper to contact the steering shaft. A lip of the seal lip has the entire circumference covered with a resin sliding portion having a friction coefficient that does not generate abnormal noise due to a stick-slip phenomenon between the lip and the rotating steering shaft.
