Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a steering wheel device for vehicles, which has a simple structure and which can effectively control low-frequency vibrations prompted on a steering wheel. [Solution] This steering wheel device for vehicles is configured to have an air bag module 3 attached thereto by using engaging elements engaged with a steering wheel. The engaging elements each have an engaging portion that is provided to the air bag module side and that is to be disengageably engaged with an engagement-counterpart portion formed on the steering wheel side. The engaging elements include at least a first engaging element 11 that is positioned at the lower side relative to the steering center C, when the neutral position of the steering wheel is regarded as the reference, and second engaging elements 31 positioned at the upper side relative to the steering center. The first engaging element is a vibration damping part that has an elastic member, and the second engaging elements each include a second bushing which is formed from a material with higher Young's modulus than that of the elastic member.
