Title:
STEM CELL-DERIVED EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES, AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/282424
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles, and a use thereof. Stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles of the present invention allow one or more proteins selected from COL6A1, COL6A3, TNC, EIF4E, HSP90AB1, HSP90B1, RAC1, TGF-β1 and TGM2 to be highly expressed, so as to remarkably reduce the amounts of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6, and thus are effective in the prevention, reduction, alleviation, or treatment of various inflammatory diseases. Particularly, when administered to an animal model of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS), the stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles of the present invention allow the lining of the bladder, damaged during the induction of IC/BPS, to be restored, the degree of inflammation to be reduced, and bladder internal pressure to be restored, and exhibit a voiding cycle similar to that of a control group, and thus the extracellular vesicles have the excellent effect of treating interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome. In addition, stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles of the present invention remarkably increase the migration of cells, and have an excellent wound healing effect, and thus can be effectively used for wound healing.
