Abstract:
A step motor that rotationally drives a rotating body (4) comprises: an output shaft (637) that outputs rotational drive force to the rotating body and has an insertion hole section (81) having the rotating body inserted thereto so as to be integrally rotatable, same being inserted further on the inner circumferential side than a top section (80) of a tip (637b); a radial bearing (85) radially supporting the output shaft from the outer circumferential side; and a cover (86) that protrudes towards the inner circumferential side from the radial bearing and faces the top section across an axial direction gap (860), further on the outer circumferential side than the insertion hole section. The output shaft has an inner circumference tapered section (820) that reduces in diameter from the top section towards the insertion hole section on the inner circumferential side. The cover faces the top section across the axial direction gap, further on the outer circumferential side than the inner circumference tapered section.
