Title:
STEREOSCOPIC VISION RECOGNITION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/073736
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a stereoscopic vision recognition system with which generation of crosstalk at oblique view angles can be reduced. The stereoscopic vision recognition system includes: a video display device which comprises a first linear polarisation element provided on the observer side; a first λ/4 sheet which is provided on the observer side of the first linear polarisation element; and active shutter spectacles which comprise, from the outside and in the following order, a second λ/4 sheet, a liquid crystal cell, and a second linear polarisation element. If the angle made by the transmission axis of the first linear polarisation element and the in-plane retardation axis of the first λ/4 sheet is defined as φ1, and the angle made by the transmission axis of the second linear polarisation element and the in-plane retardation axis of the second λ/4 sheet is defined as φ2, 40°≤φ1≤50° and 130°≤φ2≤140° or 130°≤φ1≤140° and 40°≤φ2≤50° are satisfied and the NZ coefficient of the first λ/4 sheet is less than 1.
