Title:
STIMULATOR SUBSTITUTING FOR FINGER PRESSING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/047465
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A stimulator substituting for finger pressing which consists of a soft, meshy sheet member having many stripy projections on one surface thereof and formed of various hard or semi-hard synthetic resin materials, and which is fixed to a location under treatment on the skin surface of a human body using a proper fixing means such as commercially available adhesive tapes, bandages and supporters or by means of adhesive sheets pasted on the smooth rear surface of the sheet member, thereby correcting disorders such as rheumatism, neuralgia, stiff shoulder, lumbago and visceral disorder to thereby ease or remove attendant pains. The stripy projections pressed against the skin surface give uniform, sustained stimuli to peripheral nerves at the body surface layer over an entire wide region to which the stimulator is pasted to effectively correct disorders and abnormalities of a human body and to thereby remove or ease attendant pains. One sheet or fewer sheets of the stimulator can give a sufficient stimulus effectively to a wider region while easily conforming to a curved shape of a location to be treated and ensuring air permeability to the skin surface by taking advantage of the soft, meshy sheet member.
