Abstract:
A stir-welding head, comprising a shaft shank (1), a shaft shoulder (2) and a stirring needle (3), wherein the shaft shoulder is in the shape of a truncated cone; a large end face of the shaft shoulder is connected to the shaft shank; one end of the stirring needle is connected to a small end face of the shaft shoulder; the other end of the stirring needle extends outwards in a direction away from the shaft shoulder; the small end face of the shaft shoulder has at least one flow guide groove (21); and the flow guide groove is arc-shaped, and extends inwards from an outer side of the shaft shoulder in a direction close to the stirring needle. The small end face of the shaft shoulder of the stir-welding head has the flow guide grooves, such that when the stir-welding head stirs a cast aluminum product, a plasticized semi-solid aluminum liquid generates a suction force towards the interior of a central circle by means of the flow guide grooves, thereby achieving welding without flashing, burrs and undercutting, improving the yield, and reducing the cost. The present invention further relates to a friction stir welding machine.
