Abstract:
The present invention provides a stool collecting unit that makes it possible to increase the storage stability for components in a stool sample such as hemoglobin, and measure the components in a stool sample using a small amount of collected stool. The stool collecting unit comprises a container body and a stool collecting rod that has a gripping part on one side and a rod part on the other side, the rod part being provided with a stool collecting part in the vicinity of the tip end, wherein the stool collecting unit is characterized in that the container body is provided with an opening part through which the stool collecting part of the stool collecting rod is inserted, and a stool collection compartment having a desiccant sealed therein, the stool collecting part inserted from the opening part and holding the stool sample comes into contact with the desiccant to dry the stool sample held by the stool collecting part, and the dried stool sample is stored within the desiccant.
