A stop device of a refrigerator and the refrigerator, relating to the technical field of refrigerators. The stop device of the refrigerator comprises a hinge assembly and a stop assembly; the hinge assembly is disposed on a cabinet body of the refrigerator and is configured to pivotally connect the cabinet body and a door body of the refrigerator; the hinge assembly comprises a hinge seat and a hinge mounted on the hinge seat; the hinge is configured to extend in a front-rear direction of the door body, and an arc-shaped extension portion is formed on a side portion of the hinge. The stop assembly is disposed on the door body and comprises a housing, a stop block movably disposed in the housing, and an elastic member disposed in the housing. The stop block is configured to move along a first arc-shaped surface of the arc-shaped extension portion when the door body rotates within a preset angle range relative to the cabinet body, so as to compress the elastic member, thereby reducing the opening or closing speed of the door body. Thus, the door body of the refrigerator can be closed transitionally, so that the door body of the refrigerator is protected against collision while no abnormal noise is generated.
