Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a storage method and apparatus, and an electronic device. The method is applied to a storage apparatus, the storage apparatus comprises an over-provisioning (OP) reporting module and a cache management module, and the method comprises: the OP reporting module reports information of first OP to the cache management module, the first OP being unoccupied OP obtained from the OP of a flash storage device, and the OP reporting module and the cache management module being located on a device layer and a core layer of the storage apparatus, respectively; and then, the cache management module configures a cache area on the basis of the information of the first OP, the cache area comprising the first OP. According to the method, the redundant OP of the device layer can be configured by the management module of the core layer, and can be used for caching of user data, so that the utilization rate and the storage efficiency of storage space can be improved.
