Title:
STRETCHED FIBERS FORMED FROM POLYPROPYLENE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/209283
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to provide stretched fibers formed from a polypropylene, which have excellent thermal creep resistance, break strength and stiffness, a production method according to the present invention is characterized by comprising a step wherein fibers for stretching, said fibers containing a homopolypropylene that satisfies the requirements (1)-(3) described below, is stretched at a stretch ratio of 7 times or more under such conditions that the stress during the stretching is from 80 MPa to 10,000 MPa (inclusive).
(1) The mmmm fraction is 97% or more.
(2) The molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) as obtained by GPC is less than 3.0.
(3) The melt flow rate (230°C, 2.16 kg) is 1-100 g/10 min.
