Title:
STRIKING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/182511
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to suppress noise and vibration in a direction aligned with the axial direction of a rotating member and to reduce product size and improve workability, a pair of divided bodies (31) are provided between a spindle (26) and an anvil (18) so as to be movable in the radial direction of the spindle (26), and the spindle (26) is provided with a cam plate (26b) whereby the pair of divided bodies (31) are moved in the radial direction, and the engagement between a hammer claw (31m) and an anvil claw (18e) is released, by the relative rotation of the spindle (26) and a hammer (30). This obviates the need to move the hammer (30) in the axial direction of the spindle (26), and makes it possible to significantly reduce noise and vibration of an impact driver in a direction aligned with the axial direction. This also makes it possible to reduce the length of the impact driver in the direction aligned with the axial direction of the spindle (26) and to further reduce the size of the impact driver. Furthermore, because vibration in the direction aligned with the axial direction of the spindle (26) can be minimized, it is possible to reduce worker load and to reduce thread damage during work such as screw tightening.
