Title:
STRIKING TOOL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/061835
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide technology that allows the size of a striking tool to be kept compact while output torque to remain high. [Solution] A hammer drill (100) is adapted for driving a hammer bit (119) held in a detachable manner. The hammer drill (100) has an outer rotor type drive motor (110) provided with a motor shaft (111), a transmission device for changing the output rotation speed of the drive motor (110), and a striking element (140) driven by the drive motor (110) and adapted for moving the hammer bit (119) in a linear reciprocal motion in a specific direction. A configuration is adapted for driving the hammer bit (119) through the rotation output of the drive motor (110) having been changed in speed by the transmission device. Consequently, the output from the drive motor (110) can be increased over that of a similar sized inner rotor type drive motor, making it possible to avoid increasing the size of a hammer drill (100) requiring large output.
