Abstract:
A stringer (6, 8) for a sliding fastener (2) comprises a fastener tape (18, 20), a plurality of coupling elements (10, 12), and a first stopper (24, 26). In the stringer (6, 8), the first stopper comprises an overhang (46) extending laterally beyond the longitudinal edge of the fastener tape and a protrusion (48) extending from the overhang in a first direction beyond a first surface of the fastener tape, wherein the protrusion is spaced apart from the longitudinal edge of the fastener tape.
