Abstract:
Provided is a stripe pattern image examination support device for assisting with stripe pattern image examination, which determines whether or not two stripe pattern images were produced by the same subject. The stripe pattern image examination support device comprises a characteristic extraction unit, a core comparison unit, and a display unit. The characteristic extraction unit extracts, from each of a first and a second stripe pattern image, at least a core and a characteristic point as characteristics of each of the first and second stripe pattern images. The core comparison unit compares the respective cores of the first and second stripe pattern images, and calculates a correspondent core between the first and second stripe pattern images. The display unit determines a core display mode on the basis of the calculated correspondent core, and overlaps the cores of the first and second stripe pattern images and displays the result according to the determined display mode.
