Title:
STRUCTURE FOR ATTACHING GEAR PLATE ONTO CRANKSHAFT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/179647
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to prevent lateral shake when a gear plate rotates, to eliminate uneven wear of teeth of the gear plate, for example, and to transmit a depressed external force to a rear wheel without loss. To this end, at one end of a crankshaft projecting from a cylindrical portion of a bottom bracket, a crank arm fixing portion and a gear plate fixing portion are separated by means of a notch or a groove. For example, a stepped surface is formed at one end of the crankshaft, and an annular groove having a depth from the stepped surface to a bearing support portion is formed in such a way as to surround an axially central portion of the crankshaft. The configuration is such that elastic deformation resulting from an external force applied from an crank arm to said one end of the crankshaft is not transferred to the gear plate fixing portion. A hard rubber material may be interposed in the notch or the groove.
