Abstract:
A structure for a curvature section of an endoscope, in which first steps (41)
and second steps (42) are arranged on a node ring (31) and a node ring (31), respectively.
The first steps (41) are on both sides of each of two projections (33) located
at the front of the front end sections of the node ring (31). The second steps (42)
are on both sides of each of two projections (34) located at the rear of the rear
end sections of the node ring (31). When two node rings (31), adjacent in front-rear
direction, of a curvature tube (30) is rotated up to a maximum rotation position
when a curvature section (5) is bent, second steps (42) of the front node ring (31)
and first steps (41) of the rear node ring (31) are in contact with each other to
limit further movement of the node rings. By this, the swing angle α formed
by the front and rear node rings (31) is limited to a predetermined limitation
angle at which an outer skin tube (38) is prevented from being caught between the
node rings (31) when the curvature section (5) is operated for bending. Thus,
the outer skin tube (38) is prevented from being caught between the node rings
(31) when the curvature section (5) is operated for bending.
