Abstract:
A structure refining agent having a parent phase with the same composition as a casting material, the structure of which is to be refined, and containing a heterogeneous nuclear substance for refining primary Al crystals and/or a substance for refining an eutectic structure. The structure refining agent according to the present invention is prepared by sintering a powder mixture, said powder mixture comprising a parent phase alloy powder, a heterogeneous nuclear substance powder and a flux powder containing an element for refining a eutectic structure, using a discharge plasma sintering device, etc.
