Abstract:
Provided are a stud pin and a pneumatic tire, with which drive performance on icy road surfaces can be maintained and the amount of wear on the road surface can be reduced when traveling over road surfaces with no ice. The contour shape of the end surface at the distal end of the stud pin is a concave polygon having one concavity and one convexity in the end on the side opposite the concavity. The stud pin is mounted in a stud pin attachment hole so that the convexity is oriented toward a front edge side of the tire circumference direction and the concavity is oriented toward a rear edge side.
