Abstract:
A subsea connection for a retrievable structure comprises a guide post (8) and a receptacle (3) for receiving the guide post. The connection is adapted to establish electrical connection between the guide post and the receptacle automatically as the guide post is inserted into the receptacle. In one example, the receptacle comprises an elongate tubular member into which the guide post can be inserted, at least one lateral aperture (20) and an electrical contact (24 - 27) which extends from the outside of the member to protrude into the aperture for engagement with the guide post.
