Abstract:
Substituted fused heterocyclic compounds represented by general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof, excellent in the effects of ameliorating insulin resistance, inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase, and suppressing lipid peroxide formation wherein R?1¿ represents general formula (II) wherein R?4¿ represents substituted phenyl or optionally substituted pyridyl; R?5¿ represents hydrogen, etc.; R?6¿ represents hydrogen, C¿1?-C¿6? alkyl, etc.; D represents oxygen or sulfur; and E represents a group bearing CH or nitrogen; R?2¿ represents hydrogen, etc.; R?3¿ represents 2,4-dioxothiazolidin-5-ylmethyl, etc.; A represents C¿1?-C¿6? alkylene; and B represents oxygen or sulfur.
