Abstract:

The present invention provides substituted pyrrolopyrimidines as described herein or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof. The representative compounds are useful as inhibitors of the HDM2 protein. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions comprising the above compounds and potential methods of treating cancer using the same. The present invention relates to novel compounds useful as Human Double Minute 2 ("HDM2") protein inhibitors, regulators or modulators, pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds and potential methods of treatment using the compounds and compositions to potentially treat diseases such as, for example, cancer, diseases involving abnormal cell proliferation, and diseases caused by inadequate p53 levels.
