Abstract:
A novel substrate-bonded metallic catalyst which is effective in eliminating problems associated with the use of metallic catalysts, such as ones concerning the safety and stability of metallic catalysts, in particular, organometallic complex catalysts, the removal of trace metals present in reaction products, and waste-liquid treatment. Also provided are: a process for producing a substrate having a metal compound bonded to the surface thereof, characterized by fixing sulfur atoms to the substrate surface, subsequently further bonding a metal compound to this substrate surface, and then heating the substrate in an organic solvent; a substrate produced by the process; a substrate-bonded metallic catalyst comprising the substrate; a use of the substrate as a substrate-bonded metallic catalyst; and a process for producing an organic compound with the substrate-bonded metallic catalyst.
