Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/080292
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a substrate glass for flat panel displays which contains, in weight percent, not less than 64% and not more than 69% of SiO2, not less than 0.5% and not more than 5% of Al2O3, not less than 2% and not more than 6% of Na2O, not less than 6% and not more than 14% of K2O, not less than 6% and not more than 12% of MgO, not less than 0.5% and not more than 8% of CaO, optionally not less than 0% and not more than 2% of SrO, not less than 0.5% and not more than 5% of ZrO2, and optionally not less than 0% and not more than 5% of BaO. In the substrate glass, (SiO2 + Al2O3 + ZrO2) is not less than 68% and not more than 75% while (CaO + MgO + BaO + SrO) is not less than 10% and less than 16%. The substrate glass has an average linear expansion coefficient from 30&ring C to 300&ring C of not less than 76 × 10-7/&ring C and not more than 88 × 10-7/&ring C, and the temperature at 102dPa·s is not more than 1580&ring C.
