Title:
SUBSTRATE WITH A PLANAR SURFACE SECTION, METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A MATERIAL FILM ON THE SURFACE SECTION OF THE SUBSTRATE AND USE OF SAID SUBSTRATE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2004032228
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a substrate provided with at least one planar surface section in order to form a liquid film on said surface section. The substrate is characterized in that at least one recess of the substrate is adjacent to the planar surface section such that excess liquid in relation to the formation of said liquid film can run off into said recess. The invention also relates to a method for the production of a material film with the aid of said material on a surface section of the substrate, comprising the following steps: a) formation of a liquid film with said material and/or with a precursor of the material on the surface section and b) transformation of the liquid film with the material and/or with the precursor of the material into a material film. The substrate is used in combinatory chemistry. Thin, homogeneous material films (material library) are produced on many surface sections of a substrate and are analyzed. Liquid precursors or solutions of precursors of the material films can be used to produce said material films. High-density material films per surface unit can be produced because of said recesses.
