Abstract:
A suction valve system for an internal combustion engine that is mounted in a vehicle and generates power to be used in the vehicle is provided with: a valve device that is provided with a valve body moved by a stepping motor; and a control unit that, when the internal combustion engine should be driven with specific characteristics, operates the stepping motor with a specific step number corresponding to the specific characteristics to control the opening of the valve device. When actual characteristics of the internal combustion engine that is being driven are different from the specific characteristics during the operation of the stepping motor with the specific step number, the control unit may correct the step number to adjust the opening of the valve device.
